People are your most valuable resource. The CHS-EAP is designed to keep that resource functioning at its optimum level. The intent of the program is to help employees live and work more productively by providing professional guidance in overcoming personal problems, especially when those problems are affecting job performance.

The Empoyee Assistance Program is provided by Carolinas HealthCare System (CHS-EAP). The direct services of CHS-EAP staff are provided without cost to your employee and in the clarification of personal problems and the identification of appropriate resources or services in the community for resolution of the problems. Employees and their family members may receive up to six (6) EAP sessions. The CHS-EAP does not pay for any outside referral services. It is the employee's responsibility to pay for services other than those directly provided by CHS-EAP. Consult your group insurance department (Benefits) if you have any questions concerning insurance coverage.

The program goes far beyond being just a service for people with problems. It is a comprehensive management support system that focuses on resolving personal issues and concerns that impact overall productivity. The ultimate goal is a happier, more productive employee whose life and work unit is in balance.
